Hello Vegan Travelers!
As you ponder about your world travels, one of your concerns should obviously be determining the proper clothing to pack for the current season in your destination country.
Indigenous garb is not necessarily the way to go. Dressing for the weather is more important. Of course, if you are traveling to a house of worship, it is indeed customary and even mandatory to wear appropriate and modest clothing. Sometimes, shoes must be removed prior to entering the building.
Nonetheless, the weather is the final criteria in deciding proper dress. Many online websites sell vegan, organic clothing made of non-animal materials. Fabric which is not vegan includes down, feathers, fur, silk, wool, and leather.
I would like to offer some suggestions for seasonal-appropriate vegan outfits for your travels. The destination activities need to be considered also. For example, if your itinerary includes a climb up Machu Picchu, then hiking boots are necessary. A dinner event would call for a dress or skirt and fancy shoes.
The following are some examples of vegan attire for various seasons of the year. Keep in mind that those traveling to the opposite hemisphere need to dress for the opposite season.
