I recently paid a visit to the Boston area’s very first vegan show store! Sudo Shoes(Sudo Shoes) is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They carry vegan shoes, dress boots, rain boots, hiking shoes, sneaks, and slippers. In addition to footwear, the shop sells vegan handbags, wallets, totebags, backpacks, and belts. It was my first time visiting an all-vegan footwear store. The items were very attractive-looking! I was pleasantly surprised! I decided to try on several pairs of dress shoes, casual shoes, and rain boots. Every pair was so comfortable against my skin and it was super easy to walk in them easily! They carry mens’, womens’, and childrens’ sizes.
I spoke with two of the saleswomen who gave me detailed information on the products. They told me that the most common materials for the shoes are poly microfiber and microsuede. One of the saleswomen told me that “The materials are very breathable and durable and ‘break in’ like leather does. Plus they are also much more environmentally sound than vinyl, PVC or even leather. Many of the handbags are glazed or coated fabrics. Some items are canvas or hemp. Held belts are made out of recycled conveyor belts”. It turns out that everything they carry and sell in the store is confirmed vegan. Even the glues which bind the materials together are vegan. It is always a good thing to support vegan businesses too!
I asked which vegan brands they carry for the shoes, handbags, and other items. They told me that some of the brands are Vegetarian Shoes, Olsenhaus, Neuaura, Bourgeois Boheme, Cri de Coeur, Novacas, Beyond Skin, MacBeth, Held belts, Matt & Nat, Crystalyn Kae handbags, Rickshaw, Malcolm Fontier, Vegan Collection, Simple Shoes, Earth, Patagonia, Montrail, in addition to several other brands.
Travelers going to the rainforest for example, would need a pair of hiking boots. Those embarking on lengthy sightseeing tours may need to purchase a pair of sneakers or comfortable, walking shoes. Slippers are a great item to take along on a trip for those cool nights at the hostel or inn. Backpacks would also come in handy for a hike or walking tour. For folks traveling during the rainy season, a pair of rainboots would make a great purchase. Handbags, wallets, and belts are also must-have accessories for any traveler.
This shop is a perfect stop to make for anyone wishing to prepare for a vegan-friendly vacation! All your travel footwear and accessory needs will be met here! They are soon to provide online shopping so that others from across the country can order their products through the internet. I strongly suggest that vegan travelers take a look at their website to order gorgeous, practical, and cruelty-free products! Several other vegan, online shoe stores can be found which allow orders through the web. Vegans these days can easily be well-prepared for their shoe and accessories needs for their upcoming travels!
